Confederate monuments revisited at UNG’s Gainesville campus

A month and a half since the protest in Gainesville’s downtown square, the question of Confederate monuments has returned to the area. On Monday, the subject was raised by a panel discussion at University of North Georgia’s Gainesville campus. The event was attended by more than 100 students and faculty and was the first of three panels at UNG’s campuses intended to cool the rhetoric around Confederate monuments.
