Margaret Sullivan’s father, Robert Murphy, would be very distressed at the turmoil and apparent political inference with today’s Federal Bureau of Investigation, his daughter believes. Margaret is a retired educator with two different roles at two different times at Brenau University working with presidents Jim Rogers and Jack Burd. Her father was an FBI agent for 30 years, serving all over the world and as Special Agent in Charge at posts like Savannah, Ga., and Charlotte, N.C.

Bob Hamrick, former mayor of Gainesville who served a record 46 years on the City Council, was the son of a Methodist minister. He was very much Methodist himself, loyally and heavily involved in several capacities at First United Methodist Church, which he loved as much as his City of Gainesville.
