Column: When Hall County’s political landscape started to change

In this year’s general election, only a couple of Democrats will be on the local ballot. It demonstrates how far things have come from when Hall County and most of Georgia were considered pretty much one-party, that party being the Democrats. In those days, up until the late 1960s, if you won the Democratic primary, you won the general election because there were no local Republicans on the ballot.
