The Summer Olympic Games in Paris doubtless are keeping millions of eyeballs on television these few weeks. With all the hoopla, excitement and glitz of the show overseas, it is hard to believe 28 years ago, Gainesville, Ga., had a piece of that glory. The 1996 Summer Games were based in Atlanta, but venues were located in other parts of Georgia.
