It’s August and parents everywhere are rushing to buy new clothes and supplies for their children, who are pouting about the summer being over. In an effort to find the “back-to-school spirit” amid all of the chaos, I turned to the movie remake, “Goodbye, Mr. Chips,” for some entertainment. This charming 1969 film about a British schoolteacher in the 1920s is about love, dedication and what drives one person to put teaching above everything else.
