International Steinway artist Terry Lowry will present a free piano concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Chapel at Piedmont College in Demorest.
A native of Albany, Lowry is a multifaceted pianist, composer and conductor who annually appears in concerts throughout the United States and Europe.
Lowry's recitals consist of original compositions, a standard repertoire from the past and present and improvisations on themes provided by audience members. In 1994, he was added to the prestigious list of International Steinway Artists.
Lowry is the music director and conductor of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and is the organist and choir director of Decatur's St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. He also serves as composer-in-residence at Marietta's Episcopal Church of St. Peter and St. Paul.
