Think Santa's sleigh is a hot rod? Find out this weekend. The Secret Santa Car Show is set for Saturday at Ben's Furniture (the old Sam's Club Building) on Frontage Road in Oakwood, next door to Hayes Chrysler-Jeep.

Admission is free to the show, which will benefit the City of Oakwood's Secret Santa Program. The show is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the top 25 awards presented at 3 p.m. Among the classes are rods, muscle, classic and race cars. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and judging starts at 1 p.m. The first 100 cars registered will receive a dash plaque.

There is no registration fee for show vehicles, but cash and check donations will be accepted. Vendor's registration is $25. In addition to the vendors' row, a swap meet will be set up.

The Martin Adams Band and The Longstreet Station will provide music throughout the day. Food will be available from Off The Bone BBQ and Chick-fil-A, as well as hot dogs and hamburgers from the city of Oakwood. And, for the early birds, there will be biscuits, doughnuts and hot coffee.

Visitors to the car show can bring coats and blankets for The Heart Outreach Ministry. Free parking for the event will be available at Hayes Chrysler-Jeep and at the Park and Ride, with a free shuttle to the event - just follow the signs.
