Boone and Ann Strickland of Gainesville celebrated their 50th anniversary on July 10, 2016. A reception was held in their honor at Central Baptist Church. It was given by their son and daughter-in-law, David and Caroline Strickland.

The couple have one child, David Strickland, and two grandchildren.
