A Gillsville man is accused of driving aggressively and eventually shooting at another driver on Harmony Church Road, Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies said.
Albert Agustine Renaud, 18, was arrested Saturday by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. The arresting officer said Renaud was driving aggressively in his Ford Ranger truck.
Renaud is accused of tailgating and later cutting off a Pendergrass man driving a Dodge Ram 1500 around 7 p.m. Saturday on Harmony Church Road at Bliss Drive.
The Gillsville man then allegedly pulled out a Sig Sauer P250 handgun and pointed it at the driver, according to the warrants.
“The defendant also fired (two) shots at the victim’s vehicle,” according to the warrants.
Both the driver of the Dodge truck and his passenger were not harmed, according to the police report.
Renaud was charged with two counts of aggravated assault for the two passengers in the Dodge truck. He also faces charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, discharge of a firearm on the roadway, aggressive driving and reckless conduct.
Renaud was booked into the Hall County Jail. He remained there Monday night with a bond hearing schedule for Thursday.
