More than three years ago, a Gainesville activist was arrested following an investigation into comments he made on social media about killing police officers, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.Now, his attorneys are seeking to dismiss the charges against them, claiming his activity online should be protected as free speech under the First Amendment.
