Christmas movie filmed in Dahlonega debuts Thursday on Hallmark Channel

One local family will gather around the television Thanksgiving night hoping to see some of its own in a Christmas movie. Jeannine Reins, of Cleveland, and her adult nephew Bailey Reins were two of the approximately 300 extras in “Christmas in Homestead,” which wrapped filming in Dahlonega last month. The film will premiere at 8 p.m. as part of the Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown to Christmas.”
