Three people died at the scene of a head-on collision Wednesday at Clarks Bridge Road, just north of Honeysuckle Road in North Hall.
The victims were traveling in the same red vehicle when the accident happened around 3:15 p.m., said Hall County Coroner Marion Merck, who confirmed the deaths.
Another three people — all passengers of a black Range Rover — were injured and taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, said Col. Jeff Strickland, spokesman for Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
“We can’t release the names,” Merck said. “We are notifying next of kin.”
Deputies were assigned this responsibility, he added.
Georgia State Patrol officers arrived shortly after the wreck to determine what happened. Troopers released no details Wednesday.
Emergency workers with Hall County Fire Services treated and transported the injured and removed the deceased from the vehicle.
After the crash, both cars involved were positioned near the shoulder of the northbound lane of Clarks Bridge Road.
The road, which was shut down for at least two hours, was slick with moisture at the time of the crash.
