Grand-opening events scheduled for weekend

Beginning today, Dick’s Sporting Goods is open for business. Under construction since spring, the newest addition to Gainesville’s Lakeshore Mall was built in the space between J.C. Penney and Sears. A ribbon cutting and special shopping preview were held Tuesday evening for family and friends of store employees, as well as invited community members.
