The Gainesville Transportation Master Plan, underway now, has five major goals and numerous objectives embedded in those. Here’s a look at them: Managing congestion at key intersections and “critical” road sections. The plan aims to address existing and future mobility needs by improving capacity and the traffic signal system, and looking for such solutions as adding turn lanes and roundabouts.
