A jackknifed tractor trailer that is leaking diesel fuel has two northbound lanes of Ga. 400 at Dawson Forest Road blocked.

According to Maj. Greg Rowan at the Dawson County Sheriff's Office, the truck is leaking diesel fuel out of one of its saddle fuel tanks, but is not carrying fuel.

“The fire department is calling it a significant leak,” Rowan said. “The (Department of Transportation) is en route ... it’s causing quite a mess up there.”

Rowan also said that personnel have requested assistance from a hazmat team in Gainesville due to the volume of the spill.

Traffic will be impacted.
