Gainesville City Schools considers traditional math option
Georgia Board of Education has approved switch from integrated mathematics

Following the Georgia Board of Education approval of two different mathematics sequences, the Gainesville City School district will consider reverting to traditional mathematics. For the past several years, Gainesville schools have taught state-mandated “integrated” mathematics, or math courses that integrate two types of mathematics. Traditionally, “discrete” math courses were taught, such as algebra or geometry.
