A Gainesville man was killed Saturday night in a motorcycle wreck in White County.

Richard Damon Pursley, 46, was traveling north on Ga. 75/Main Street when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and struck an embankment, according to the Georgia State Patrol, which is investigating the accident.

The wreck happened at Comer Creek at 9:40 p.m.

No other details were immediately available.

A Hall County native, Pursley was the owner of RP Mobile Marine.
