Georgia was ranked 10th overall in gun violence, according to a new study by the Center for American Progress. However, as the nation’s eighth-most-populous state, that designation is less notable than another statistic — robberies by firearm. The full study by the left-leaning think tank had Georgia at the third-highest armed robbery rate in the U.S., almost double the national average.
