Hall County’s emergency 911 systems will soon get some long-awaited improvements, beginning with upgrades to the main phone network. It’s one of the first big-budget items to be paid for with revenue from a new round of special purpose local option sales tax, or SPLOST VII, which voters approved in March. About $13 million has been budgeted for overall improvements to the entire communications system.
