After eight days of testimony and closing arguments from the state and defense, the case of a Gainesville man charged with child molestation and exploitation went to the jury. Christopher Thomas Ray, a 31-year-old Gainesville resident, is charged with more than 20 counts of child sex crimes, in addition to charges of controlled substance violations. Ray pleaded not guilty to all charges.
