A house fire Saturday afternoon in Flowery Branch caused extensive damage, but no one was injured.

Hall County fire crews responded around 4:45 p.m. to the call in the 6100 block of Oak Hill Drive. They found heavy smoke coming from the home's attick and were able to extinguish the fire before it reached the floors below, Fire Services spokesman Scott Cagle said.

The residents were not home at the time.

Damage to the $250,000 home was estimated at about $125,000, Cagle said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
