Emily Williams appears to be the grandmother she is — with seven grandchildren — but she also is a 38-year teacher and was honored Tuesday with the renaming of Chicopee Woods Elementary School’s top award for her. The Emily Williams Hawk Award was presented to Miguel Del Angel and Gracelyn Smith, both fifth-graders. A boy and a girl receive the honor each year.
