It takes a village to raise a child. In Hall County, it takes proactive public safety officials and generous volunteers to keep children safe, according to Kim Martin, Safe Kids Gainesville-Hall County coalition coordinator. Martin celebrated the efforts of the area Safe Kids coalition and its volunteers Friday at the agency’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet at First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
