A man was beaten and robbed at a taco stand on Atlanta Highway late Tuesday night, authorities said Wednesday.

Hall County Sheriff’s Col. Jeff Strickland said deputies responded at about 11 p.m. Tuesday to the Taqueria El Mirado in the 200 block of Atlanta Highway.

It appeared that two men wielding a baseball bat or some other blunt instrument beat the 25-year-old victim in the face after entering the stand through a back door, Strickland said. The men then took an undisclosed amount of cash from an open cash register and ran toward a trailer park behind the stand, Strickland said.

The victim did not require hospitalization, Strickland said.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation continues.
