A sprinkler system helped firefighters extinguish a fire Wednesday evening in the 1400 block of Candler Highway, Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said. A caller said workers had ignited a bale of scrap plastic inside a business. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the rear of an approximately 100,000-square-foot building.
