Voices of Hall: Smiley get's a birds-eye view

Dr. Tom Smiley has been announcing games for the North Hall Trojans football team for more than 10 years.
For years, a recognizable voice has echoed over the loudspeaker at “The Brickyard” on Friday nights in North Hall, and for the man behind the microphone, it’s been a family affair. Tom Smiley, the pastor at Lakewood Baptist Church, has been the voice of North Hall High School Trojan football for more than a decade. Smiley’s oldest son, Brandon, graduated from North Hall about 10 years ago and, Smiley said, he first got behind the microphone in the booth to remain a part of his son’s activities.
