It’s hard to believe that it all started with just 1,320 words.Later this week the nation will pause for the most patriotic of celebrations with the annual observance of Independence Day on July 4. Most can appreciate that this particular day in the first week of July is recognized as the nation’s birthday, but not everyone knows that the reason for that designation is that the Declaration of Independence was issued by the Congress of a rebellious new nation on that date.
