The prophet Isaiah speaks of a time in the future, an age of “righteousness” when there will be justice and harmony, when “the wolf shall dwell with the lamb” and “a little child shall lead them” (Isaiah 11:5-6, RSV). Clearly, we aren’t there yet, but the good news is that a child is leading, whether we are ready or not.
