NGCSU women's soccer wins 1-0

The North Georgia College & State University women’s soccer team defeated Florida Tech 1-0 on Friday in the opening game of the Peach Beach Conference vs. South States Athletic Conference Invitational at the Walden Soccer Complex.

With the win, the Lady Saints run their winning streak to seven games, moving to 8-1 on the season.

Lauren Schenk scored the game’s only goal off a Casey Smith corner kick at the 16:30 mark of the first half.

The Lady Saints will return to action when they take on No. 15 Florida Southern at 11 a.m. Sunday in the final game of the PBC vs. SSAC Invitational at the Walden Soccer Complex on the campus of Columbus State University.
