Georgia Tech’s softball team, the defending Atlantic Coast Conference champions, is tied atop the 2010 preseason ACC coaches poll with Florida State.

The Yellow Jackets, who finished 2009 as the 13th-ranked team in the country, are ranked No. 13 in the NFCA/USA Today and No. 14 in the ESPN.com/USA preseason polls. Last season, Georgia Tech won both the ACC regular season and tournament titles and earned the first trip to the Super Regionals in the program’s history.

The Yellow Jackets will open the 2010 season Feb. 12 at the USF-DeMarini Tournament in Clearwater, Fla.
