BUFORD — Allen Whitehart’s message to his Buford boys basketball team before Tuesday night’s second-round matchup against Blessed Trinity was simple. Somebody needs to step up and answer the call. Playing without Region 7-AAA Player of the Year D’Marcus Simonds due to undisclosed reasons, the Wolves rallied behind performances from Rakim Lubin, Matt McMorris and senior Justin Edwards to earn a 45-40 win and advance to the state quarterfinals.
