Fligg to sign with South Carolina

Chestatee soccer standout Megan Fligg has expressed her intent to sign with the University of South Carolina and play under coach Shelley Smith. 

Going into the 2009 Georgia High School Association spring season, Fligg has led her teammates to three consecutive winning seasons and two state playoff appearances.  The 2008 Georgia Soccer Coaches Association Player of the Year  was also named to the 2008 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas Girl’s High School Scholar All-South Team. She holds the Chestatee career record with 47 goals and 21 assists and was the Lady War Eagles' MVP the past two seasons. 

Fligg will sign in a ceremony at 2 p.m. Feb. 4 at the national signing day event at Longstreet Cafe in Gainesville.
