Flowery Branch teams, Shewbert earn Region 8-AAAAA cross country titles

CONYERS — The Flowery Branch High cross country teams scored decisive team titles in the Region 8-AAAAA championships at Georgia International Horse Park on Saturday. Jake Shewbert earned the boys individual title with a 16:36.55 to pace the Falcons taking three of the top four spots, four of the top seven and six of the top 17. Gainesville’s Juan Ortega in second at 16:49.34, followed by Flowery Branch’s Grant O’Callaghan (16:53) and Shawn Olmstead (16:55.04) in third and fourth respectively.
