HS Scoreboard: Banks County senior Zac Orr grabs his 1,000th career rebound in win
Leopards squeak by Franklin County, 55-52, to remain undefeated in Region 7-AAA

Banks County senior Zac Orr secured his 1,000th career rebound Friday as the Leopards defeated Franklin County 55-52.

Zez Steeple paced the Leopards with 26 points, while Trevae Cain and Kendrick Simmons both finished with nine. Orr finished with nine points and nine rebounds.

Banks County (20-2, 9-0 7-AAA) visits Dawson County tonight at 8:30 p.m.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 54, FRANKLIN COUNTY 40: The Lady Leopards’ Kulia Beasley scored 13 points on Friday in Homer.

Teammate Jaycie Bowen scored 10 points, Maddie Thomas had nine and Mallory Parson added eight.

Banks County (12-10, 4-5 7-AAA) visits Dawson County tonight at 7 p.m.

EAST HALL GIRLS 55, FANNIN COUNTY 40: Junior Kylah Mize led the Lady Vikings with 18 points on Senior Night.

East Hall seniors Ashlyn Ellison and Jenny Edwards both scored 13 points.

East Hall (18-4, 9-1 7-AAA) visits West Hall at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

EAST HALL BOYS 79, FANNIN COUNTY 54: Tylor Brown led his team with 22 points, Mahki Brown added 12 points and Sedrion Morse had 11 points on Friday.

The Vikings are now 15-6, 8-2 in Region 7-AAA. 

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 89, TOWNS COUNTY 51: Lady Lions junior Ryann Moody knocked down seven 3-pointers to account for all 21 of her points Friday night in Hiawassee.

Tori Taylor scored 17 points, including four 3-pointers, while Hanna Grogan and Halee Cash tallied 15 points apiece.

Lakeview Academy (17-6, 10-1 8-A) hosts Commerce at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

BUFORD GIRLS 69, MADISON COUNTY 29: Rachel Dobbs connected on six 3-pointers for 18 points Friday night in Danielsville.

Teammates Zikaya Wright and Tory Ozment scored 13 and 11 points respectively.

Buford (19-3, 7-0 8-AAAA) visits Wesleyan today at 5 p.m.

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 71, LUMPKIN COUNTY 39: Dawson County sophomore Cullen Reed scored a game-high 21 points on Friday for the Tigers fourth-straight win.

Jeremiah Crumley had 13 points and Gabe Bryant finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and eight blocks.

Dawson County (12-10, 3-6 7-AAA) hosts Banks County today at 8:30 p.m.

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 59, LUMPKIN COUNTY 35: Katelynn Simpson scored 15 points, while Karlie Bearden, Haley Burgess and Kaylee Sticker each scored eight.

Dawson County (20-2, 8-1 7-AAA) hosts Banks County today at 5 p.m.

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 65, MONROE AREA 55: Senior Desmon Mataro headed the Warriors with 24 points on Friday in Monroe.

White County (16-7, 4-2 8-AAAA) visits Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
