Southern Living magazine recently named two Northeast Georgia towns among its 20 “most charming tiny towns.” Obviously, they are Dahlonega and Helen, long known as among the state’s most visited tourist attractions. Dahlonega for its gold history, Helen for its Bavarian-themed village near the foot of Unicoi Gap.
